Who makes these
Knotty Kritters is one person, one hook, and a basket of yarn that keeps getting bigger.
Caleb is twelve. He started crocheting little round birds because they were quick, and then discovered he couldn't stop. Everything in this kingdom was made by him, by hand, one at a time, at the kitchen table in Toronto.
How this works
Because each kritter takes hours, there is almost never a shelf of things ready to buy. Most of what happens here is made to order: you say what you'd like, Caleb says whether he can do it and by when, and then he makes it. The gallery isn't a stock list — it's proof of what he can do.
You won't see Caleb
There are no photos or videos of him on this site or on any of the social accounts, and that's deliberate. It's hands, yarn and finished kritters only — which happens to be exactly how crochet looks best on camera anyway. His dad runs the accounts and handles the money and post.
Care and safety
Surface wash cold and let it air dry — these should never go in a machine. Most kritters have safety eyes fitted, which makes them ages 3 and up. If you want one for a baby, ask for embroidered eyes instead and Caleb will make it that way.
Getting one to you
Everything posts from Toronto and ships anywhere in Canada. If you're local, pickup is easy and Caleb would rather hand it to you anyway.
